Weekly Update, September 7, 2021
Howdy y’all! Looks like I am a day late for this weekly update, but I have a good reason. My wife and I decided that we were going to sell our first home that we bought in Indio and buy something much smaller, with more land and less neighbors, out in Desert Hot Springs. Last week we finally closed the sale of both our old and new places, and on Friday my son and I moved in. That next day my wife helped coordinate the movers and get most of our stuff out to the new place. We spent the next two days cleaning up trash from the old house, getting (most of) the rest of our stuff, and trying to get settled in.
As a result of all that, I didn’t even find this laptop until sometime in the evening yesterday and I was too tired to write a weekly update. Thus, you get it a day late. Anyway, because I’m still tired from the move, I am going to keep this update short. Perhaps next week will be longer, but you’ll have to check back and find out for yourself!

We bought a new (to us) house and we’ve been getting settled in. I also got a cool new piece of music equipment for my secret project, but because of moving (and things like losing headphones) I wasn’t able to start playing with it just yet. I’m hoping to use it to make some new “Dude and the missing rugs” music, perhaps even going in a slightly different direction. Only time will tell!

Like it seems that I write every week, there isn’t much I want to say outside reiterating that Black lives do, indeed, matter! Also, if you are a palm colored (read white) person, you should make an active effort to follow more Black content creators on social media.
