Weekly Update, March 29, 2021

Greetz internet friend and welcome back to this weekly update. What is special about this update is that it marks one year in a row of doing updates every Monday! Lately I’ve been posting longer ones and this one I started at 9:42 on Monday evening, so it’s going to be short and sweet.

Professional

I’m on vacation for two weeks – yay!

Personal

I’m on vacation – nice! I’ve been skateboarding every day and teaching my dog how to skate with me. He runs in front and pulls and then (if I tired him out enough) he’ll hang out with me in the evening and watch TV. Last night we watched the first season of Letterkenny and we both really liked it.

I also did a pretty long yearly update recently where I talk about what happened during the self-isolation my family has done during the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, I’m not going to reiterate that here, but just know that buying a house was a pretty big deal.

Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to sell this house in the next few months, but it’s for the best. We are going to move to somewhere closer to Palm Spring and in a smaller house. What we’ve got now is too big, expensive to maintain, and hard to clean.

Probably share more on this subject later, but for now I’m tired and so I’m going to move on.

Black Lives Matter

Don’t have a heap to say here except to reaffirm that Black Lives Matter and if you don’t follow enough BIPOC creators, take five minutes and find more and follow them!

Politics

Don’t feel like getting riled up, so pass.

Conclusion

So I didn’t expect to actually make it and to do updates once a week for an entire year. Then again, I didn’t expect to still be in self-isolation a year later either so time makes fools of us all. I also want to say that I am glad that I started doing things I’ve always wanted to do.

I’ve also wanted to learn how to skateboard and I am in the process of figuring it out. Always wanted a boy dog and I’ve got one.

That’s all. Just saying you should try to pursue your dreams and if you don’t know what they are, invest some time in figuring it out. What are you afraid of, being happy? As I wrote previously, flying is just falling and missing. Don’t be afraid to fly but remember that it takes a leap of faith.
